Get your morning exercise and help raise funds for GAPA´s student scholarships
by participating in GAPA´s Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk at 7 am on Wednesday, July
23. The course will take participants through the lovely Sandestin grounds for
the 3.1 mile journey. Entry fee is $25 and includes a beverage, a commemorative
t-shirt, and plaques for the top winners. Spouses and guests are encouraged.
Don´t miss GAPA´s Annual Golf Tournament scheduled for 1:00 pm on Thursday,
July 24, at The Links Course at Sandestin. With five holes that run along the
Choctawhatchee Bay, guests are treated to a links´ style golf outing like no other
on the Emerald Coast. Renowned architect Tom Jackson designed this winding
layout against the backdrop of the Baytowne Marina and the Choctawhatchee
Bay over 25 years ago, and it remains consistently ranked as one of the most
challenging and fun courses in Florida. The Links Course has been named one
of the "Top Five Courses in Northwest Florida" and one of the "Top 100 Courses
in Florida" by the Florida Golf News. The Tournament features a chance to win
the $10,000 Hole-In-One Prize! The entry fee for the 4 person scramble is
$100, and includes green fees, cart, and prizes. If players wish to select their
own team, simply notify the tournament chair on-site. Spouses and guests are
encouraged.
