Atlanta, Ga. (April 15, 2009) - :30 PSA Proper food handling can go a long way in preventing food-borne illnesses. Remember to always wash your hands in warm, soapy water for 30 seconds before and after handling food. You should also use two cutting boards during food preparation - one for meat and one for produce - to avoid cross-contamination. And always remember to defrost any frozen food in the refrigerator, not on the kitchen counter. This helps prevent the growth of harmful bacteria.
